When we become a part of the Martha Bowman
UMC family, we agree to support the church by our:

We live out these vows as we hold to six
core values:
- Worship (this places
God at the center of who we are and all we do) Psalms

- Belong (we affirm our
health and strength comes from being connected in the Body
of Christ, particularly in small groups) Romans 12:4-5
- Grow (we covenant to
help people grow from new believers to fully devoted followers
of Jesus - a lifetime process) Ephesians 4:14-16
- Serve (each person is
uniquely gifted to serve where their God-given gifts and
passion intersect with the needs around them) Galatians

- Reach (outreach belongs
to every person because the Lord we love is worthy to be
shared with the whole world) Matthew 28:16-20; Acts

- Pray (this life connection
to God undergirds everything else in life; it is the place
where we plug into the power and presence of God) 1

The natural outgrowth of these values is
expressed in four commitments:
- Every believer belongs in worship
- Every believer belongs in a small
group
- Every believer belongs in service
- Every believer belongs in outreach
