JOIN US IN PURCHASING NEW HYMNALS AND BIBLES FOR THE HISTORIC SANCTUARY
OUR GREAT REDEEMER’S PRAISE
Martha Bowman Church is purchasing new hymnals and pew Bibles for the Traditional Sanctuary. The new hymnal is entitled “Our Great Redeemers Praise” and is a rich treasury of hymns by Charles and John Wesley. Also included is a collection of classic favorite hymns and contemporary selections across the breadth of church history. The pew Bible is an English Standard Version in large print. Both are hardcover in navy blue.
We know that our current hymnals have been a special and meaningful part of our worshiping community for many years. In January, we will catalogue a list of those who purchased UMC hymnals or UMC pew Bibles in memory or honor of someone, and make these available for families who made the donation to pick up. If additional hymnals and pew Bibles remain unspoken for, we will keep some in our Historic Library and donate any that remain to church members or a local congregation.
To make a donation towards the new hymnals or pew Bibles, please fill out the form below, or pick up an order form at Martha Bowman Church. You may also designate your gift in memory or in honor of a loved one between November 9 & December 7. We will place a special commemorative label in the Bible or hymnal in recognition of the gift, along with a card letting the family or individual know a gift has been made in their honor or memory of a loved one during the Christmas holidays.
