MACON

The hope & help of Jesus transforms. Our partnership & outreach with ministries and organizations that serve others is a glimpse of how we demonstrate the transforming love & power of a real and personal God.

BACKPACK BUDDIES MINISTRY

The BackPack Buddies Ministry began in February of 2011 with 9 students from Lane Elementary. In the years that have followed we've grown to service over 2,800 children in multiple schools and 4 counties

WEEKEND LUNCH

"Go in peace, be warmed and be fed..."JAMES 2:16

More Than a Meal | The Weekend Lunch program has served the needs of downtown Macon since the mid-1990s. What started as an opportunity to help feed the homeless, hungry, and less fortunate in a safe and enjoyable environment has since grown into a program that delivers far more than a meal to our community.

FREEDOM COLLECTIVE

To glorify God by bringing hope to victims of sexual exploitation, empowering them to live free, and ultimately abolishing sex trafficking.

Families 4 Families

Families 4 Families is a faith-based, private foster care agency committed to connecting local churches with loving families to care for children in Georgia’s foster system.

Founded in 2017, we exist to bring hope and restoration to children and families through meaningful relationships, practical support, and the love of Christ.

THE METHODIST HOME FOR CHILDREN & YOUTH

Founded in 1872, The Methodist Home provides care for children and families in need across South Georgia including a continuum of residential care (Children’s Homes), community foster homes, specialized treatment programs and counseling services to better serve our community.

WESLEY GLEN

Wesley Glen is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Our aim is to serve more people with IDD across the state and foster an environment that is conducive for each person to reach self-actualization. We offer residential services, Cornerstone Day Program, mentoring one-on-one, and employment services.

What truly sets Wesley Glen apart is our unwavering belief that we are guided by a higher calling. This divine confidence shines through our community, touching everything we do. It’s not uncommon to witness our residents sharing prayers, engaging in heartfelt worship, and offering a helping hand to others. Their spirit of community and faith is a beacon of hope and love.

RESCUE MISSION

The Rescue Mission of Middle Georgia is a faith-based, life recovery program for men, women, and children dealing with all types of addictions, domestic violence, sexual abuse, poverty, homelessness, and other life-challenging issues. For over 70 years, the Mission has provided a path of hope, redemption, and empowerment through Jesus Christ to break the cycle of addiction, violence, and abuse in families.

Our goal is to walk with those in need of physical, emotional, and spiritual healing so they can go on to lead healthy, secure, and stable lives that enable them to have a positive, productive impact on their families and communities.

CROSS ROADS RECOVERY

Transition Program: We want to come along side men who have completed recovery programs or had significant periods of sobriety. We help them walk out recovery in the real world by working through our unique curriculum model, being held accountable, and living with like- minded people. All of this takes place while being mentored and guided by our staff. We exist to see men become regenerated, restored and reconciled with their loved ones.

WESLEY OF MACON

Wesley exists to challenge, inspire, and equip young adults to deepen their relationships with Jesus by creating space for worship, teaching, sacred practices, hard questions, and community for all regardless of background, religious experience, or convictions. Those who participate find safety to deconstruct, reconstruct, and grow their faith so they are more prepared to transform the world they encounter in Jesus name.

CENTRAL GA CASA

Central Georgia CASA empowers children in foster care by training and supporting dedicated volunteers who advocate for their best interests. Working alongside families, caregivers, and the court, we ensure each child has a consistent, compassionate voice and the support they need to find safety, stability, and a brighter future.

Our Central Georgia CASA team guides, equips, and supports our CASA volunteers as they advocate for children across the Macon Judicial Circuit. With expertise in child welfare, volunteer development, and community engagement, our staff works every day to ensure every child’s voice is heard and their needs are met.

SLEEP IN HEAVENLY PEACE

At SHP, we fully believe that a bed is a basic need for the proper physical, emotional and mental support that a child needs. When it was brought to our attention that the need for beds went far beyond our own neighborhoods, we stepped up and took initiative. We’re a national organization answering the call to a national problem.

Sleep in Heavenly Peace is where it is today because of the passionate volunteers who believe in the mission of getting kids off the floor and into beds. In just a few hours of your time, you can make a direct, permanent impact in the quality of life for dozens, if not hundreds and maybe even thousands of kids in your community.

We’re always looking for volunteers to build bunks, go on bed deliveries, be vocal advocates for our mission and start new SHP Chapters in unserved communities.
